This Privacy Policy explains how Linas Lekavicius, a private individual ("21 Less," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information when you use the 21 Less mobile application, website, challenge features, wallet ledger, cashout features, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
21 Less handles sensitive information, including Screen Time-derived challenge data and wallet-related records. We aim to collect only what is needed to operate the Service, verify challenges, protect users, comply with law, and improve reliability.
1. Information You Provide
We may collect information you provide directly, including:
- Account information, such as username, display name, email address, sign-in method, and authentication-related identifiers.
- Onboarding information, such as how you heard about 21 Less, daily screen time goals, permission status, notification preferences, and terms acceptance.
- Challenge choices, such as challenge selections, entry fee amounts, join timestamps, challenge history, and support requests.
- Support communications, including messages, attachments, feedback, and information needed to investigate issues.
- Payment and cashout information, such as payment status, transaction references, payout account email, provider account references, payout method type, limited payout details, tax or compliance status, and related metadata.
Full card numbers, CVCs, full bank account numbers, full routing numbers, government identification documents, and provider-hosted identity checks should be handled by payment or payout providers, not stored directly by 21 Less, unless we expressly tell you otherwise.
2. Screen Time and Challenge Data
With your permission, 21 Less uses Apple Screen Time-related access to help verify challenge progress. Depending on the feature and challenge type, we may process:
- Daily total screen time seconds.
- Daily social media screen time seconds.
- Challenge local dates, first and last challenge dates, and sync deadlines.
- Capture timestamps, upload timestamps, timezone, and device-reported metadata needed for verification.
- Challenge limits, completion status, reward eligibility status, and settlement status.
- On-device app usage summaries displayed to you in the app.
We use Screen Time-derived data only to operate challenges, verify completion, show your own progress, calculate reward eligibility, settle wallet entries and rewards, send reminders if enabled, prevent fraud, investigate disputes, and improve reliability.
We do not use Screen Time-derived data for advertising, ad targeting, data brokerage, or sale to third parties. We do not use Screen Time-derived data for medical diagnosis or treatment.
You can revoke Screen Time-related permissions in iOS settings. If you revoke permission or required data cannot be submitted by the applicable deadline, active challenges may not be verifiable and you may not qualify for a reward pool.
3. Wallet, Payment, and Cashout Data
We maintain wallet ledger records and transaction metadata, including wallet balance, entry fees, credits, reward amounts, non-refundable entries, cashout requests, transaction timestamps, idempotency keys, payment references, payout references, reversals, chargebacks, and fraud or compliance metadata.
We use this information to operate wallet balances, process challenge entry fees, calculate challenge settlement, enable cashout, investigate disputes, prevent abuse, support accounting, comply with tax or legal obligations, and maintain ledger integrity.
Payment processors and payout providers may collect and process additional financial, identity, tax, bank, card, or payout information under their own terms and privacy policies.
4. Device, App, and Diagnostic Data
We may collect technical information needed to operate and secure the Service, such as:
- Device type, operating system version, app version, locale, and timezone.
- Supabase user ID, authentication identifiers, session metadata, and request metadata.
- IP-derived information, server logs, crash logs, diagnostics, error messages, and performance data.
- Notification permission status and Screen Time sync preference.
- Security, fraud prevention, abuse detection, and rate-limit metadata.
5. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create, authenticate, and secure accounts.
- Run onboarding and save preferences.
- Operate screen time challenges and verify challenge completion.
- Calculate entry fees, reward eligibility, reward pools, wallet balances, and cashout eligibility.
- Display your own progress, challenge history, wallet history, and app settings.
- Send challenge reminders, reward alerts, and service notifications if you allow notifications.
- Provide support, debug issues, improve reliability, and develop features.
- Prevent fraud, cheating, abuse, chargebacks, unauthorized access, and rule manipulation.
- Enforce our Terms, resolve disputes, comply with law, and protect rights and safety.
6. Information Visible to Other Users
Some information is visible inside the product because challenges are social and competitive. Other users may see your username or display name, that you joined a challenge, participant counts, entry fee or reward pool-related figures, and aggregate challenge outcomes.
Other users do not see your individual Screen Time-derived daily totals, detailed app usage, sync status, private device activity, payment details, payout details, or identity verification details.
7. Service Providers
We may share information with service providers that help operate 21 Less, such as:
- Cloud hosting and database providers.
- Authentication providers.
- Payment processors and checkout providers.
- Payout and cashout providers.
- Fraud, compliance, tax, and accounting providers.
- Notification, analytics, diagnostics, and crash-reporting providers.
- Customer support and communications tools.
These providers may process information only as needed to provide services to us, comply with law, protect security, or as otherwise described in their terms and privacy policies. We expect service providers to provide appropriate protection for user information.
8. Legal, Safety, and Business Transfers
We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, enforce our Terms, investigate fraud or security issues, resolve payment disputes, prevent harm, protect users, or protect our rights.
If 21 Less is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections.
9. Apple and Platform Data
21 Less uses Apple platform features such as Sign in with Apple, Screen Time-related permissions, notifications, and App Store distribution. Apple may process information under Apple's own terms and privacy policies. Apple is not responsible for 21 Less challenges, entry fees, rewards, wallet balances, cashouts, support, refunds, or disputes.
10. Advertising, Sale, and Sharing
We do not sell Screen Time-derived data, wallet ledger data, or payment/cashout data. We do not use Screen Time-derived data for third-party advertising or ad targeting.
If we introduce advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, or data sharing that legally requires opt-out rights, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide required controls.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, provider security features, encryption in transit, and database protections where available. No system is perfectly secure.
You are responsible for protecting your device, sign-in credentials, email account, bank account, crypto wallet, private keys, and recovery phrases. We will never ask for your crypto private key or seed phrase.
12. Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain wallet ledger integrity, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations, and protect rights and safety.
Screen Time-derived challenge records may be retained with challenge history where needed for settlement, dispute handling, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. Wallet, transaction, payment, cashout, tax, accounting, and security records may be retained longer than profile data. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information that no longer identifies you.
13. Your Choices and Rights
You may:
- Decline or revoke Screen Time-related permissions in iOS settings.
- Disable notifications in iOS settings.
- Review and update certain account settings in the app.
- Request account deletion through the app where available.
- Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or export of personal information.
Some requests may be limited by legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, dispute, or wallet ledger obligations. If you revoke required permissions or delete your account during an active or unsettled challenge, you may lose reward eligibility for that challenge.
Residents of certain jurisdictions may have additional privacy rights, such as the right to know, access, correct, delete, port, restrict, object, withdraw consent, or appeal a privacy decision. To exercise rights, contact [email protected]. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
14. Children
21 Less is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts or participate in paid challenges. If you believe a child has provided personal information to 21 Less, contact [email protected] so we can review and take appropriate action.
15. International Processing
We and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Privacy and data protection laws may differ from those in your location. Where required, we use reasonable safeguards for cross-border processing.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app, laws, providers, or features change. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as through the app, website, or other available channel. The updated policy applies when posted or when otherwise stated.
