These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the 21 Less mobile application, website, challenge features, wallet ledger, cashout features, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Linas Lekavicius, a private individual ("21 Less," "we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account, joining a challenge, paying an entry fee, using wallet features, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms to use 21 Less. You may use the Service only where it is lawful for you to do so. We may limit, suspend, or block access in any jurisdiction, account, or circumstance where we believe the Service may be restricted, unlawful, risky, or subject to additional licensing or compliance obligations.
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your sign-in credentials secure, maintaining control of your device and email account, and promptly telling us about unauthorized use of your account.
2. What 21 Less Does
21 Less is an accountability app that lets adults join screen time challenges. A challenge may require you to keep daily total screen time or daily social media screen time under a stated limit for a stated duration. Challenge progress is verified using Apple Screen Time-related permissions and Screen Time-derived data submitted from your device.
21 Less is not medical advice, mental health advice, financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, banking, gambling, or a substitute for professional support. The Service is intended to support personal accountability and behavior change.
3. Challenge Rules and Official Rules
Each challenge will present material rules in the app, which may include the challenge title, duration, daily limit, metric measured, entry fee range, join deadline, measured period, sync deadline, reward pool information, and eligibility requirements. The rules shown for a specific challenge are incorporated into these Terms as the official rules for that challenge.
Challenges are intended to be skill- and behavior-based accountability contests. Winners are not selected by random drawing or chance. To qualify for a reward pool, you must complete the challenge requirements and submit all required Screen Time-derived data by the applicable deadline.
21 Less does not charge additional penalties or fees for missed goals. Entry fees are paid to join challenges. If you do not complete a challenge, miss a goal, revoke required permissions, fail to submit required data, or are disqualified under these Terms, you simply do not qualify for that challenge's reward pool, and your entry fee is generally not refunded except as stated in these Terms or required by law.
4. Entry Fees, Wallet Balance, and Settlement
Challenge entry fees are paid from your 21 Less wallet balance. When you join a challenge, the entry fee is deducted from your available wallet balance and held for challenge settlement.
Your wallet balance is an internal app ledger. It is not a bank account, stored-value bank deposit, securities account, interest-bearing account, or insured account. Wallet balances do not earn interest. We may correct ledger errors, reverse fraudulent or mistaken credits, and adjust wallet records where reasonably necessary to operate the Service, enforce these Terms, or comply with law.
Unless a challenge states otherwise, if you complete all challenge requirements, your eligible entry fee and any reward share are credited to your wallet balance after settlement. If you do not qualify, your entry fee becomes non-refundable for that challenge except as required by law or as otherwise stated in these Terms.
5. Reward Pool Calculations
Displayed reward pools, potential rewards, and projected cash rewards may be estimates until final settlement. Reward calculations may depend on the number of participants, number of eligible finishers, entry fee amounts, non-qualifying entries, rounding, refunds, chargebacks, fraud review, settlement timing, provider availability, and technical reliability.
Unless a challenge states otherwise, eligible finishers share the challenge reward pool in proportion to their entry fees among all eligible finishers. For current challenge rules, the reward pool may include 65% of entry fees associated with participants who do not qualify, and 21 Less may retain the remaining portion as a service fee. We may change reward formulas for future challenges if the updated rules are shown before you join.
We do not guarantee any specific reward amount, earning opportunity, cashout timing, or financial outcome.
6. Screen Time Permission and Verification
You are responsible for granting and maintaining the permissions needed for challenge verification. You must keep the app installed, keep your device available, periodically open the app when needed, and submit required Screen Time-derived data by the deadline.
Challenge verification may use device-reported totals, social app category totals, selected social app rules, local dates, timezone, capture timestamps, sync timestamps, and challenge rules. Apple Screen Time data, iOS permissions, local reporting, device state, and background behavior may be delayed, unavailable, incomplete, or inaccurate. If required data is not submitted by the deadline, the challenge may be marked incomplete and you may not qualify for the reward pool.
Screenshots, manual estimates, third-party tracking tools, app usage claims, or unsupported data sources do not replace the Screen Time-derived data submitted by the app unless we expressly decide otherwise.
7. Social Media Challenge Measurement
Some challenges measure social media screen time. The app may count a defined list of social or entertainment apps and may update the list over time. The app may use app category or app-specific reporting available through Apple Screen Time-related APIs and on-device logic. You are responsible for reviewing the challenge details before joining.
8. Fair Play and Prohibited Conduct
You agree to participate honestly. You may not manipulate or falsify Screen Time data, device settings, timezone, local dates, operating system behavior, accounts, wallet records, payment flows, network requests, referrals, challenge results, or any other part of the Service.
You may not use jailbroken, rooted, emulated, automated, shared, or modified device environments to gain an unfair advantage. You may not exploit bugs, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer protected parts of the Service, harass users, impersonate anyone, submit false information, use multiple accounts to manipulate results, or use 21 Less for illegal activity.
We may void entries, deny rewards, reverse rewards, restrict cashout, suspend accounts, close accounts, or take other action when we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, error, chargeback risk, technical manipulation, prohibited conduct, or violation of these Terms.
9. Payments, Checkout, Refunds, and Chargebacks
Payment and checkout features may be handled by third-party providers. You authorize us and our payment providers to process amounts you choose to add to your wallet or use for challenge entry fees. Provider rules, fees, processing times, limits, and availability may apply.
Entry fees used in active or settled challenges are generally not refundable except where required by law, where we cancel the challenge before settlement, where a payment or app error prevents fair operation, or where we determine in our discretion that a refund or adjustment is appropriate.
Chargebacks, failed payments, reversed top-ups, returned transfers, or suspicious payment activity may result in wallet adjustments, negative balances, account restrictions, denied rewards, delayed cashout, or account closure.
10. Cashout and Payout Providers
Eligible wallet balances may be cashed out through third-party payout providers such as Whop or other providers we support. Cashout may not be available in every version, account, region, currency, payment method, or payout method.
We and our providers may require identity, tax, sanctions, fraud, payment, or compliance checks before allowing cashout. Providers may require you to create or access a hosted payout account, add payout methods, accept provider terms, and complete verification outside 21 Less. You are responsible for accurate payout details. Provider fees, bank fees, network fees, minimums, limits, processing times, reversals, holds, and regulatory restrictions may apply.
Crypto payout options, if offered, may involve stablecoins, wallet addresses, blockchain networks, and public or irreversible transactions. You are solely responsible for wallet address accuracy, network selection, private key security, and tax treatment.
11. Taxes
You are responsible for taxes, duties, filings, reporting, and fees related to entry fees, rewards, cashouts, credits, or other transactions. We may request tax information, issue tax forms, withhold amounts, or report information where required by law.
12. Account Deletion and Closure
You may request account deletion through the app where available. Deleting your account may cancel active challenges, remove reward eligibility for unsettled challenges, close wallet features, delete or de-identify personal profile information, and trigger additional confirmations if you have an active wallet balance or unsettled challenge entries.
We may retain records as described in the Privacy Policy, including records needed for wallet ledger integrity, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, dispute handling, security, and legal compliance.
13. Public and Social Challenge Information
Challenges are social and may include limited public or participant-visible information. Other users may see your username or display name, that you joined a challenge, participant counts, entry fee or reward pool-related figures, and aggregate challenge outcomes. We do not show other users your individual Screen Time-derived daily totals, detailed app usage, sync status, or private device activity.
If the Service later allows profile photos, comments, invitations, group names, or other user content, you are responsible for that content and must not post unlawful, infringing, abusive, hateful, deceptive, or harmful content. We may remove content or restrict accounts at our discretion.
14. Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on Apple, Supabase, Whop, payment processors, payout processors, authentication providers, notification services, analytics or diagnostics tools, fraud prevention tools, and other service providers. Third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party outages, delays, errors, fees, account decisions, verification decisions, or service changes.
Apple is not a sponsor of, responsible for, or involved in any 21 Less challenge, entry fee, reward, wallet balance, cashout, promotion, or dispute. Apple has no obligation to provide support, maintenance, refunds, or reward fulfillment for 21 Less challenges.
15. Availability and Changes
We may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the Service, including challenge types, entry fee ranges, reward rules, wallet features, payment methods, cashout methods, eligibility requirements, supported regions, and provider integrations.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as through the app, website, or other available channel. Updated Terms apply when posted or when otherwise stated. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, logos, names, text, graphics, illustrations, and other content, is owned by 21 Less or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your personal, lawful use in accordance with these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, scrape, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Service except as allowed by law or expressly permitted by us.
17. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect Screen Time accuracy, complete data sync, specific behavior changes, specific rewards, cashout timing, provider availability, compatibility with every device, or that the Service will be error-free.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, 21 Less and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities, failed syncs, device restrictions, payment provider issues, payout provider issues, blockchain network issues, third-party actions, or unauthorized account access.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid in entry fees through the Service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some limitations may not apply to you.
19. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless 21 Less and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, service providers, and licensors from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, your fraud or misconduct, your content, or your dispute with another user or third-party provider.
20. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without regard to conflict of law rules. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes relating to these Terms or the Service will be handled by the competent courts of Vilnius, Republic of Lithuania.
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and try to resolve the dispute informally. These Terms do not require arbitration.
